While his day-to-day work has become more business- and strategy-driven, he remains a technician at heart, deeply rooted in AWS architectures, cloud foundations, and hands-on engineering.
About me
Sebastian is Business Unit Lead Cloud Engineering at tecRacer, responsible for shaping the strategic direction of AWS consulting and development services. His role sits at the intersection of technology, business, and people leadership - balancing portfolio strategy, customer engagement, and organizational development with deep technical expertise.
Although his work today is more focused on strategy, architecture decisions, and customer advisory, Sebastian remains a technician at heart. He started his cloud journey hands-on and still enjoys diving deep into architectures, design decisions, and technical trade-offs. His core strengths lie in AWS Cloud Foundations, including networking, identity and access management, security, governance, and infrastructure as code.
After working with various cloud and colocation providers earlier in his career, Sebastian made a deliberate decision in 2018 to focus exclusively on Amazon Web Services. This clear focus enabled him to build deep expertise across AWS services and to support customers from highly regulated and complex environments with pragmatic, production-ready solutions.
In addition to his leadership role, Sebastian is actively involved in customer conversations, pre-sales engagements, and architectural reviews. He has a particular interest in platform engineering, sovereign cloud architectures, and the evolving intersection of cloud infrastructure, security, and business strategy. Despite wearing multiple hats today, his motivation remains unchanged: building solid, well-thought-out cloud architectures that actually work in the real world.
