AWS EMP technology decouples applications from the underlying operating system. EMP technology does this by determining your application&#8217;s dependencies on the outdated operating system and creating a package with the necessary resources to run the application on a newer version of Windows Server.<\/p>\n<p>This package contains all application files, executables, components, and deployment tools, as well as an engine that redirects API calls from your application to files in the package.<\/p>\n<p>This resolves dependencies and decouples the application from the underlying operating system. You can then run the packaged application on future versions of Windows Server.
